After a series of giveaways highlighting freshly made sandwiches, doughnuts, and locally produced ice cream, perhaps it’s a good place to share some information about my on-line personal training business: Sweat Equity Aesthetics.

Life can get busy, and often when it does, some of us put our own health and fitness on the back burner. This was true of me. I was busy running a real estate business and, more importantly, being a Dad. Over time, however, I noticed that with poor eating habits and a lack of commitment to regular exercise, I was gaining some unwanted weight evidenced by top buttons on my pants popping off unexpectedly and my belly causing my underwear band to flip down. Not really the coolest of tricks. Those were clear tell-tale signs that a shift in lifestyle was needed.

Over the last 7 years, I made the necessary changes to address my personal health and took the more extreme path of competing in over a dozen natural men’s physique body building shows – winning many provincial shows, and placing 3rd at Nationals in Toronto twice before qualifying for the World Championships in Boston in 2024. Inspired by my journey and those accomplishments, I had a number of people reach out to me requesting to hear more of my story and my training regimen. To better advise them, I became a BCRPA certified personal trainer through Douglas College in the evenings when my real estate day had subsided and the kids were getting ready for bed.

For over two years now, I’ve been working with men and women both locally and out of province, to assist them in the meeting of their fitness and lifestyle objectives. It has been incredible to see some of the transformational changes that they have made.
