Sadly, a good friend of mine, AJ Sico, was one of the individuals struck at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival in the spring of this year. He survived, but a cousin of his did not. It’s been a long road to recovery for AJ with a long stretch still ahead, and this incident has undoubtedly altered the trajectory of his life significantly. Despite these challenges, AJ is a fighter, and I know that with the continued loving support of his many friends and family and health care providers that he will continue to make progress.

AJ has been my barber for years. Every few weeks, I would sit in his chair and we would chat about a range of topics. He is an excellent barber, but it was his character, his positivity, his genuineness, and his care for me and all 4 of my boys that kept us coming back. We love AJ!

Since the incident, and out of loyalty to AJ, I’ve been in the chairs of many of the barbers at Haides and they are all outstanding, and they’ve done so much in so many ways to support AJ and his family.

One such way was a custom t-shirt sale with all proceeds benefitting AJ’s Go Fund Me page.

Included in this year’s prize pack, will be one of those t-shirts.
